I offer individual counseling and psychotherapy to adults and teens, serving Eugene and Lane County, Oregon. I am trained to work with a wide range of concerns, and currently focus in the following areas:
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. The first visit is an opportunity to determine if we're a good "fit" and to address questions you may have about the therapeutic process or how we'll work together. We will discuss the issues that bring you to counseling and begin to formulate a plan that will guide our work together. We will also consider the counseling approach and frequency of sessions that fits for you.
Couples come to counseling for many reasons and at different stages in their relationship. Some couples need new tools to resolve ongoing conflict or make an important decision about the relationship. Others want to deepen intimacy, clarify values or renegotiate roles. Couples therapy is not just for couples in crisis. I welcome couples at all points on the commitment, gender, and sexuality spectrums.
Group therapy offers a supportive peer environment to address a specific challenges and build new skills. Group work can be a cost effective alternative to individual counseling, or a helpful adjunct. I facilitate therapeutic groups on an ongoing basis. Group sizes are generally small (no more than 8).
In addition to my counseling practice, I periodically offer workshops. My workshops are interactive, creative and support participants in enhancing wellness, clarifying life goals and sparking creative flow.
I also provide group and community education on end-of-life planning, wellness and related issues. I’d be happy to design an interactive workshop, lecture or speaking engagement that fits the needs of your group. Please email me to learn more.
