Frequently Asked Questions
Here I answer some of the most common questions people have when they’re considering therapy with me, so you can feel grounded and supported as you explore your next steps.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I am in-network with the following plans:
- PacificSource Commercial plans (Navigator, Voyager, etc.)
- Oregon Health Plan (OHP) / Medicaid
- Trillium Community Health Plan (OHP)
- PacificSource OHP Medicaid (eligible counties)
I offer out-of-network therapy for many plans, including:
- Moda Health
- Providence Health Plan
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
- Regence BlueCross BlueShield
- Cigna
- UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
Out-of-network deductibles, copays, and coinsurance vary by insurance plan. With your member ID and date of birth, I can verify your out-of-network mental health benefits and provide an estimated out-of-pocket cost before scheduling. Benefit verification provides an estimate and is not a guarantee of insurance reimbursement.
Do you offer any private-pay discounts or alternative payment options?
Yes. I offer a cash discount for clients who pay in full at the time of service. I also accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards.
Do you accept Medicare?
No. I am unable to bill Medicare plans at this time.
What are your session fees?
Therapy session fees range from $180 to $285, depending on the type and length of the session.
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
Yes—I offer both in-person and secure online telehealth sessions. In-person sessions are at my office in Eugene, Oregon, and online sessions are available to clients throughout Oregon.
How often will we meet?
Individual clients typically meet once per week or twice per month at a designated time we select together. For relationship and couples counseling, session frequency can vary depending on your needs, goals, and scheduling availability.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This ensures your spot can be offered to another client and helps maintain continuity in your care.
How do I schedule an intake appointment?
To get started, fill out the New Client Contact Form on the Contact page. I’ll follow up about scheduling options and availability and guide you through the next steps.
